7.30 ACT on the ABC
Friday August 1st

  1. SLIDING SCALES OF JUSTICE – In a climate of government cutbacks, more people are representing themselves – contributing to even further court delays. Lawyers are being asked to do more pro bono work to make up some of the shortfall. The already vulnerable are the most at risk.
  2. ANZAC Girls – the Canberra writers of this series Felicity Packard and Peter Rees talk about their work – and the joy ( and surprise) of seeing their words come to life. Also ivs with cast and crew. Arthur Hill produced the story.
  3. FAREWELL RICHARD LARTER – Australian artist Richard Larter has died. ( A new exhibition of his work opened in Sydney this week) He rarely talked to the media – but in 2008 we spoke to him at length on the occasion of his retrospective at the NGA.
  4. CLOSER – THE ART OF LARTER
