ACT Policing is seeking witnesses following a large grass fire in MacArthur yesterday (April 15), which is believed to have been deliberately lit.
Around 2.10pm ACT Fire and Rescue requested police to attend a large grass fire at the end of Ebsworth Close.
The area affected was approximately 100 metres by 80 metres. Flames reached a height of 15 metres and it took ACT Fire and Rescue roughly one and a half hours to extinguish the blaze.
No property was damaged during the incident. A pipe and a bottle containing fluid were seized at the location.
Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area yesterday.
