A 34-year-old Florey man will face the ACT Magistrates Court tomorrow (Tuesday, August 20) after being caught drink driving for the second time this year.
Around 9.50pm last night (Sunday, August 18), members of Belconnen Patrol were conducting random breath testing (RBT) on William Slim Drive, Giralang.
The 34-year-old man driving a Holden Commodore was stopped for RBT, which resulted in a positive alcohol reading.
He was conveyed to the Belconnen Police Station for a breath analysis, where he subsequently returned a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of 0.049.
The man was a disqualified driver having been convicted of two counts of drink driving offences last month. The man was therefore restricted to a prescribed BAC of 0.00 grams.
The man was arrested and conveyed to the ACT Watch House where he was bailed to appear in court tomorrow.
