TAMS advise that some lucky sods might get their garbage picked up at long last:
The ACT Government has announced that catch up rubbish bin collections will take place tomorrow in Braddon, Forrest, Garran, Lyneham, Red Hill, Turner and Yarralumla. Residents of these suburbs are advised to ensure their rubbish bins are out.
Catch up rubbish collections were undertaken in Isaacs today.
Catch up collections took place in Campbell, Hackett, Hughes, Watson and O’Malley yesterday as well as in Kingston, O’Connor and parts of Ainslie and Dickson on Saturday.
Suburbs that will not be fully serviced before Friday morning are Acton, Ainslie, Barton, Beard, City, Deakin, Dickson), Downer, Duntroon, Griffith, Harman, Narrabundah, Oaks Estate, Phillip, Pialligo and Swinger Hill. These suburbs will be collected as per their normal service on Friday.
Recycling collections will be undertaken on Saturday in those suburbs which were missed last Friday.
Arrangements for the rest of this week are as follows:
Thursday: scheduled services plus Braddon, Forrest, Garran, Lyneham, Red Hill, Turner and Yarralumla
Friday: scheduled Friday collections resume
Saturday: recycling collections in those suburbs which were missed last Friday
