ACT Policing detectives have seized seven firearms, three replica firearms, a large amount of ammunition and a quantity of drugs during two simultaneous search warrants in Narrabundah and Fyshwick in the early hours of this morning (Thursday, November 7).
Criminal Investigations detectives executed a search warrant at a Narrabundah residence and at a Fyshwick premises around 5am this morning.
During the progress of the search, police seized four rifles, two pistols and one shotgun, resulting in seven firearms in total at Narrabundah.
Police also seized three replica firearms and 2,000 rounds of shot gun ammunition following a search warrant in Fyshwick at the same time.
Investigations are ongoing and no charges have been laid in relation to the items seized.
Detective Sergeant Shane Scott said this is an example of ACT Policing’s dedication to removing illicit firearms from Canberra streets.“The seizure of these guns is another win for ACT Policing and the community
