Stogies in Canberra?

Hey guys, I noticed this thread and have just received 25 Perdomo Fresco Cuban cigars from a friend which I have no use for. Length is 15cm, ring gauge 50 was looking to offload them for $300 if anyone knows of someone that would be interested? My number is 0403 683 571

Thanks astro – Just took receipt of a box of padron maduro toros from cigarplace. Especially given the current exchange rate, this has worked out tops.

Normally if I have run out and am not travelling, I will buy from Michael at CGs in Dickson who stocks main brand Cubans and some domenicans – he always has his humidor in good nick.

Thanks Clown Killer, happy to let eveyone know the drum on this. As you know, none of the tobacconists in the ACT keep a large enough stock of cigars to warrant maintaining a proper commercial humidor and as a result their limited stocks are not stored as they ought to be. The best advice I can give to Bigfeet, and to anyone else, is to get themselves a humidor (if they haven’t got one already), read some of the many cigar blogs, order some cigars online from a reputable supplier, store them well for a little while, and then get smokin’.
You said you’ve been buying cigars when in NYC. You might have been to De La Concha which is on the Avenue of the Americas. Its a great shop where you can sit and smoke and talk sports or politics all day long. Well worth a visit.

I stock up when I get to New York (non-Cubans) or Paris (everything else). I don’t trust the retail cigars on offer anywhere in Canberra.

Cigar smokers are too tight to share their expensive smoke with the public masses, bless ’em. It’s always the goddamn low brow durry munchers that light up next to me at a cafe table.
