Prodigiously talented, Mawer oozes Blues authenticity and, while he is recognised as one of the best bass players on the blues scene and can hold his own with the cream of acoustic and electric Australian Blues guitarists, Mawer’s ace-in-the-hole is his astounding voice.
His music has been influenced by such greats as Howlin’ Wolf, Ray Charles, Tom Waits, Nat King Cole, Sam Cooke, Muddy Waters.
