Welcome to the RiotACT Gig Guide for the 2nd to the 8th of August!
Pictured above are the famous Brass Knuckle Brass Band, who will be playing at Smith’s Alternative this Saturday. Every Canberran should see them at least a few times! Moaning Lisa will be hosting a show on Thursday at Transit Bar, featuring the sensational pop stylings of Pheno and Good Pash. Another show at Transit which promises to be huge is local rap legend Genesis Owusu, who will take the stage this Friday alongside an entire army of hip-hop heavyweights.
Saturday also marks International Blues Music Day, and the Harmonie German Club – Canberra’s home of blues music – is marking the occasion with an enormous line-up of blues wonders, including the Owen Campbell Band, the Shane Pacey Trio, the PJ O’Brien Band, Genevieve Chadwick and many many more!
