“THE WORLD HISTORY OF RAZZLE DAZZLE”
AT BELCONNEN COMMUNITY FESTIVAL ON SATURDAY NOVEMBER 13Join drumming Maestro and experienced instrument maker Jim Sharrock for a fun-filled and educational workshop. Make your own drum and tuned percussion using recycled materials and plumbing supplies. Learn to play your new instrument and be part of the festival parade at the Belconnen Community Festival on the 13th of November 2010.
Workshops will be held in the first week of the school holidays. Both workshops will be conducted in the art room at the Belconnen Community Centre.
Participants will strut their stuff as part of the “World History of Razzle Dazzle”, a colourful variety show which is a highlight of the Festival program

Jim Sharrock (B.A.Ed) has been teaching hand percussion and drum-making for over 15 years. He has taught drumming to people of all ages and abilities nation-wide. He has lead festival parades in Canberra, The Gold Coast, Far-Northern Queensland and even in Bourke. Jim is highly qualified and enthusiastic and his workshops are not to be missed. Jim also fronts two of Canberra’a favorite local bands, Dubba Rucky and Dr Stovepipe.
