A woman had to be extricated from her car after it rolled onto its roof following an accident involving two vehicles which occurred on Cotter Road in Curtin around 5.40 pm tonight (May 25).
ACT Ambulance Service, ACT Fire & Rescue and ACT Policing attended the accident, with firefighters freeing the trapped woman from her car.

Police are seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage relating to an alleged ‘hit and run’ on the Cotter Road at Curtin late yesterday (May 25) in which a white Honda CRV rolled onto its roof – with firefighters then having to free the trapped driver, who was taken to hospital. Police say the driver of the other vehicle, a white Toyota utility, left the scene without assisting. Region Media understands that the driver of the Toyota later stopped near the Tuggeranong Parkway turnoff due to damage to his vehicle and ran off on foot (footage of both cars is shown). She was then treated by ACT Ambulance Paramedics and transported to hospital.
The eastbound lane on Cotter Road near McCulloch Street, Curtin was closed to traffic after the accident and was expected to be closed for some time.
