Police have charged a 42-year-old Macgregor man following a report of burnout activity early on Sunday morning.
At about 1:00 am on Sunday (20 June), ACT Policing received a complaint from a member of the public about a grey Ford Falcon sedan allegedly performing burnouts in Macgregor.
Police in an unmarked vehicle attended the location and witnessed the Ford Falcon performing a burnout in De Gruchy Place, Macgregor.
Police stopped the vehicle and shortly after the driver returned a positive alcohol screening test.
He was taken to the City Police Station where he blew 0.093.
He was arrested and charged with driving a motor vehicle with alcohol in his breath, driving while disqualified, the improper use of a motor vehicle, using an unregistered vehicle and using an uninsured vehicle.
He was bailed from the ACT Regional Watch House and will attend the ACT Magistrates Court at a later date.
