Come along to the Sunset Cinema this Friday evening for a movie under the stars. Screening as the sun goes down is Tim Burton’s classic, The Nightmare Before Christmas. It tells the story of Jack Skellington, Halloweentown’s beloved pumpkin king, who has become bored with the same annual routine of frightening people in the “real world.”
When Jack accidentally stumbles on Christmastown, all bright colours and warm spirits, he gets a new lease on life – he plots to bring Christmas under his control by kidnapping Santa Claus and taking over the role. But Jack soon discovers that even the best-laid plans of mice and skeletons can go awry.

North Pole Lane Christmas Eve

If you’re looking for something fun to do with the family this weekend, then look no further than North Pole Lane in Tuggeranong. It’s a walk-through display where you can walk through a snowy forest, visit Santa and all his friends and grab some photos with them too. There will also be life-size reindeer being fed and an opportunity for kids to write a letter to Santa.

Monica Moore – The Canberra Wine House

Taking place this Christmas Eve is a special free live performance by the First Nations singer/songwriter Monica Moore. She will bring her blues tunes to The Canberra Wine House while showcasing original tracks from her EP.
