Ah not the ‘new’ look Coles – I asked them to stock about 4-5 particular products didn’t shop for a few weeks and then there they where! As long as they can order them they will do their best to get the stock in!

On the 30th of March for one night only you will be able to get kangaroo doner kebabs at CCAS Gorman house. Details will follow as a separate thread tomorrow.

Yet I saw rabbit the other day in woolies. The range of turkey products is getting bigger too.

Although I will likely end up at Coles after the above recommendations.. I come from a Woolworths family, Mrs Lazy I comes from a Coles family. For many years I have battled to make sure that Woolworths is the primary mega-conglomo-mart of choice. Stepping foot into Coles will undermine years of hard work and likely lead to an admission from me that I was ‘wrong’, something every male dreads.

Me no fry: The stock started drying up about 3-4 weeks ago. I have checked three Woolworths (two south side, one north side) and they all had/have varying stock levels remaining but the bangas were the first casualty. The Woolworths butcher (meat section boss) said the line had been removed due to poor sales nationally although it was one of the best sellers locally (you heard the scoop here first!)

They have now filled the shelf space with yet another variety of ‘spoon fed, shampooed and regularly massaged in an free range pen before blissfully crossing over’ chicken.

I too have fired off an email to Woolworths registering my disgust.

The side of most major Canberra roads…might have to do a bit of prepping yourself though.

Coles… bought it there many a time.

I’m pretty sure Coles still have them. The Poultry and Game shop at Fyshwick Markets have them as well although they are sourced (sauced?) from a different provider than the Coles and Woolies ones which come from Macbro Meats.

My personal roo cooking preference is fillet, cleaned up and dried, then marinate in olive oil & heaps of black pepper. Full-heat bbq, minute and a half a side, then rest for 5 minutes. Slice.
