bullying survey

The Greens’ Amanda Bresnan is pushing on with her campaign to insert the ACT Government ever more firmly into our lives by regulating workplace bullying.

She has, in fact, created a survey she’d like you to fill in.

We’d be curious to hear what the data wonks out there think about the survey’s structure.

This has got to be a joke account. There’s no way that this is serious. The crazy speed limit stuff I could accept, and the stalkerish stuff about news anchors was believable, but this surely proves beyond reasonable doubt that the Mr G thing is a joke account.

Satire at its finest.

I disagree, there has been a raft of policy from the Greens which seeks to bully the public into complying with their agenda. Green policy is restrictive, anti-liberty and coercive, it fits all the definition of bullying.

The religion of “green” is all about weak people using political power to force other citizens into conformity to the “thou shalt not” gospels of greendom.

The political process is ‘bullying’ … because you don’t like it?

BWAAAA AHA HA HAHAHAHA AHA HAH AHA

Someone call this dude a waaahmbulance.

If the Greens want to research bullying, then they should try looking in the mirror, at their policys for things like plastic shopping bag bans and other hideous “green” policies, which bully people into “changing their behaviour” by making them bring their own reusable, expensive shopping bags.

HYPOCRITS THE LOT OF THEM.

I prefer to think of Mr G as a troll. Imagine if there really were people like him around.

How goes your campaign to bring back plastic bags?

I find it funny when people say bullying occurs on line. Why don’t they just not go there, a bit like turning the TV off when you don’t like what you see.

Survey isn’t well designed. imo There should be a “not applicable” option for question 5-7, or those questions should be ‘locked out’ if you select no to the questions above. Also, question 11 is a little broad, it should say something along the lines of “in the last 12 months”.

So The Greens are now interested in bullying, eh? How about bullying the prime minister into bringing in the world’s biggest carbon tax and condemning Australians to job losses and massively increased prices just to give the latte set in the inner city a warm inner glow?

If that’s not bullying I don’t know what is.

People who design surveys like that are busy thinking about all the stuff they’d like to find out, and are NOT thinking about what happens when they’re faced with collating several thousand responses. I’ve seen a few like that, absolutely no thought given to how the HELL some poor sod is going to collate and report it.

Did the survey. Gave me a chance to anonymously defame a few ACT PS creeps and generally put the boot in.

I said I was constantly bullied by Greenies on the RiotACT 😉

Somehow I doubt Finklestein will come a knockin’ for that…

Why don’t they ask us to do a survey on public housing?

Even if every person that answers is someone who says they’ve been bullied, it will still provide information on how many people are reporting their complaint and what their experience was with the complaints process.

I was under the impression that surveys with self-selecting samples were basically useless for this sort of thing.

+1

Worse than useless: the inherent bias in self-selecting samples gives a heavily distorted result.

+1 and +1

What a total waste of time, energy and electrons.

How will the greens deal with multiple answers in a text box? the data will be less accurate than a concise series of yes / no or rating 1-5 (1 = good, 5 = unsatisfactory) – this is a rush job survey, or a claytons survey. It will not give accurate data for compilation or provide accurate results. It is (in my opinion) a complete waste of time. The ACT Government uses several marketing organisations to create and deploy surveys for them – any one of these organisations could have created this survey, with better data capture and analysis.
