lake george sunrise

What looked like 100m dash turned out to be a solid hike in muddy water.

Arrived at the edge of the lake at 6:20am – just in time for me to find a gigantic birds nest (not sure what type) and a spectacular sunrise with very fast moving clouds and light 🙂

Nikon with Sigma 10-20mm – All RAW processed in Photoshop – The next one is HDR – Gumboots

Gee, a photographer admitting he uses Photoshop. What is the world coming to?

Gee, a photographer admitting he uses photoshop to process raw images to the jpegs you see online. I agree the world has gone crazy.. Next thing you know, you’ll see a chef admitting he uses a pan to cook steak.

Sometimes you use the tools you have to do the job you want.

lol – I have been “using” on and off for several years – I can give it up easy…any day (scratch…scratch)

How big were the eggs? I would hazard a guess at them being swan eggs. They tend to build nests like that.

Great set of photos.

Decent size eggs (tennis ball size but stretched) – did not think eagles nested on the ground – but eggs looked similar – going to find out now. Swan was spotted in the vicinity, but flew off as I approached. Eagle would of had my eyes more than likely 🙁

Number 4 is my favourite. Very well done indeed.

They’re brilliant…..2 and 4 would make perfect desktop backgrounds if you had the high res ones…thought about offering them to Visit Canberra or somewhere…bit of local imagery?

Great frames, did you cook up those eggs for brekky?

I dig that last one. What was the exposure time on that? 30 seconds?

Cheers – Wind was 50kph which made the shot…

15 Seconds
Aperture f/9.0
Focal Length 10 mm
ISO Speed 500

Nice work!
Anyone who gets up that early at this time of year deserves to be congratulated even without stunning photos. 🙂

I like the eggs best; a little more restrained. The slightly different colours are beautiful.

You are very clever with light!

Mate, pretty spectacular pics!

I love the 2nd one.

Beautiful, awesome, lovely!
