Pedestrian dies after being struck by ute in Jerrabomberra

A woman has died after being hit by a utility at Jerrabomberra on Sunday.

On Sunday afternoon (17 November), a NSW Police spokesperson said the deceased woman had been struck by a silver Nissan Navara utility at about 8:15 am that day.

Emergency services were called to Bicentennial Drive in Jerrabomberra, but the 48-year-old woman had already died at the scene.

The spokesperson said officers from Monaro Police District had been informed that the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was a 54-year-old woman.

The woman also allegedly hit a white Toyota Hilux parked nearby.

The driver was taken to Canberra Hospital with minor injuries to undergo mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established and examined by officers from the Crash Investigation Unit.
