An elderly woman had gone to the Dickson shopping centre before she was attacked in public earlier this month, police allege.

An ACT Policing spokesperson said the alleged incident occurred between Woolworths and the Dickson Library between 9:15 and 10 a.m. on 22 January.

It is alleged the attacker, also a woman, charged at the elderly woman and knocked her to the ground. She was left with injuries to her arm.
