Police are searching for a man accused of assaulting a runner in a south Canberra park on the weekend.
A woman was running through the Tuggeranong Hill Nature Reserve at around 7:20 am on Saturday (1 March) when she was allegedly grabbed from behind by a man.
She was able to break free from the man’s hold and run away before calling police, an ACT Policing spokesperson said.
Police are now seeking witnesses to the incident.
The nature reserve is between the suburbs of Theodore and Conder.
The police spokesperson described the man as Caucasian in appearance, in his late 20s to early 30s, with brown shoulder-length hair. He was wearing a black t-shirt with a white stripe, as well as long tan pants and Vans shoes.
He also had a black electric scooter with him at the time.
