I was just driving down the Monaro Highway through Hume and spotted the aftermath of a car versus motorcycle collision at the intersection with Lanyon Drive. Police and Ambulance were in attendance. It appeared that a blue sedan traveling south west on the Lanyon Drive collided with a motorcycle traveling south on the Monaro. Judging from the damage to the sedan, it clipped the motorcycle just on the front driver’s side of the car. It would appear that the motorcycle approached the car at high speed from the right as it traveled south down the highway. Obviously some one’s not obeyed the traffic lights.Either the motorcycle has failed to stop at the red as the car started off on a green, or the other way around.
As usual in car versus motorcycle collisions the motorcyclist has come off worse, hauled off in the ambulance. The two occupants of the blue sedan were packing their belongings into a box as I departed.
I’m hoping the motorcyclist is okay.
