Help with some wet weather picnic alternatives

possibly, but so is the weston park undercover area. I have heard of a guy who is seen watching little kids play down near the pond / bridge area, with a sad face. Apparently, a little kid is supposed to have been knocked down and drowned there. the guy who watches is his father, who took his own life.

you do realise im now going to be sitting there the whole day watching to see if a ghost appears. actually i might just tell all the kiddies that and creep them out! mwwwaahahahaaha

um… i don’ know. 40 at the most. if it absolutely pours on the day, i may be forced to admit defeat, it’s just nice to know theres something to run and hide beneath if the gods are against me and the rain starts to kick in while were there.

and yes peter the kambah woolshed has been picked as the back up venue, good suggestion!

yes Lennox Gardens has a few covered bits, but is a bit small. I’ve been doing the google thing to try and suss out a few places, but it’s not really helping me out much. but thanks for all the tips guys! i’ll have to go for a proper drive around on the weekend and suss out all the shelters. I just had no idea where to start really.

Oh, there’s another spot with a covered gazebo like thingy on the City side of the lake. Park off Consitution Ave, across the road from the CIT restaurant, and take the pedestrian underpass under Parkes Way and you should find the way.

I think Lennox Gardens behind the Hyatt has undercover areas near the free BBQs.
