Thanks for all the kind comments, I will pass them on to my brother. He seems to be feeling a lot better after his nose surgery yesterday and is happy that he has his ‘good looks’ back (ha!! I’m his sister, it’s okay to be insulting ;). No update yet on how the police investigation is going.

I was really sorry to hear about this, the diver is a really nice young man and I hope he is feeling better soon and there are no long lasting effects.

Hope your brother is felling better Lilli. He looked pretty messy yesterday! I really hope they catch those bastards. If not, don’t worry too much – karma has a way of sorting pricks like them out!

absolutely. if they jump on here and tell their side of the story, it may well assist the AFP in their inquiries.

peterh – I was a little concerned about the possibility of the offenders getting on here to defend themselves but I’m hoping nothing eventuates as it may compromise the police investigation.

mdme – Cheers, he has a really high pain threshold so isn’t complaining much at all. He is hopefully getting his nose sorted out today but other than that he thankfully came out relatively unscathed.

AV – Me too.. I’m just really hoping something comes of the CCTV footage/witnesses as without either of those it’s going to be very hard to identify/locate the offenders.

I never anticipated an event concerning my own family to be the subject of an RA article! My brother was the driver involved and I can attest to the fact that he is a competent driver who has never previously been involved in an incident like this before and that ‘accidentally cut off’ means exactly that. He didn’t purposely pull in front of them. As someone previously mentioned it was definitely a case of changing into the lane of the road ragers. They then pulled to a stop in front and behind him, boxing the car in. He escaped into a break of traffic when they pursued him and the rest as they say is history. As far as I am aware the police are treating this matter quite seriously for reasons already stated by tylers. Lets just hope the youths can be recognised via the CCTV footage as unfortunately the registration wasn’t correct. IF they’re identified I’m sure I won’t be alone in hoping they get punished appropriately but I won’t be holding my breath.
