Police allege Tesla and Mercedes drivers got into a fight on the side of the road in the north of Canberra during a road rage incident.

ACT Policing said a silver Mercedes and a dark-coloured Tesla were involved in a collision in the eastbound lanes of Horse Park Drive at Kenny at around 9 am on Tuesday (17 September).

“The drivers exited the vehicles and had an altercation on the side of the road,” a police spokesperson alleged.

“The driver of the Tesla failed to exchange details with the other driver and left the scene before police arrived.”

The alleged fight took place on Horse Park Drive near the Federal Highway overpass.

“ACT Policing reminds the community that any form of road rage or menacing or intimidatory driving is unacceptable,” the police spokesperson said.

“Should you be involved in a road rage incident or witness one, please contact police.”

Clearly both these drivers are rather privileged to be able to afford such cars. Wealth and privilege often leads to a sense of entitlement and an unwillingness to concede error in one’s own actions. No wonder they fought. More money than brains.

It is not from a great mind people buy electromobiles.

Such childish comments which mischaracterise people based on what brand of car they drive. Once upon a time it used to be beemer drivers, but I suppose some people just need a target.
Anyway, I’m sure the individual will reach out to the police. The incident is in the news…

As a member of a Euro car club, this is still the case.. They cop flack for a reason. That badge makes them do stupid things.

You must be a young person StuartM because I can remember “bloody Volvo drivers……”

Bloody Camry drivers!

in all honesty, even before reading the article, I had the Tesla driver pegged as the flog in all this, and I’m not surprised in the least that I was right.
And before anyone goes accusing me of having super powers or something, I merely arrived at this conclusion using a simple trick: namely, foreknowledge of how Tesla drivers are likely to be more stupid and vain, seeing themselves as saviours in a crisis that doesn’t exist.

More dollars than cents is what they’d have said about these people when I was kid

A more logical assumption would be that if the Mercedes driver was the one in the wrong then the Police would already have the evidence from the cameras that the Tesla is fitted with.
