Police are calling for witnesses to come forward after an alleged road rage-related stabbing in the Gungahlin region saw a man taken to hospital with a chest wound.
ACT Policing said the incident allegedly began between 1:45 pm and 2:10 on Sunday (15 September) when a blue Subaru SUV pulled in behind a black Mitsubishi Lancer on Flemington Road in Mitchell.
Police believe the drivers of the two cars began “interacting” while driving north on Flemington Road, and then both stopped at Nullarbor Avenue in Franklin.
It is alleged both male drivers got out of their cars and an altercation occurred in which the driver of the Mitsubishi was stabbed in the chest.
He was driven to hospital and police were contacted.
“Investigators would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the interactions between the two cars or who may have CCTV or dash-cam footage of the vehicles travelling along Flemington Road to Franklin,” a police spokesperson said.
