ACT records 649 new COVID-19 cases

The ACT has recorded 649 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8 pm yesterday, including 373 identified by PCR and 276 by rapid-antigen tests (RAT).

There are now 29 people in hospital, including one in intensive care.

The vaccination rate for the ACT’s five-plus population is 93.8 per cent and 70.1 per cent of residents aged 16 and older have received a booster.

NSW recorded 13,093 new cases and seven deaths in the last 24 hours.

Victoria recorded 5192 new cases and four deaths.
