ACT records 947 new COVID-19 cases

The ACT has recorded 947 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8 pm yesterday, including 483 identified by PCR and 464 by rapid-antigen tests (RAT).

There are now 42 people in hospital, including three in intensive care.

The vaccination rate for the ACT’s five-plus population is 97.2 per cent and 72.4 per cent of residents aged 16 and older have received a booster.

NSW recorded 19,843 new cases and four deaths in the last 24 hours.

Victoria recorded 8349 new cases and nine deaths.
