ACT records two deaths and 1316 new COVID-19 cases

A man in his 50s and a man in his 90s have died with COVID-19 as the ACT records 1316 new cases in the 24 hours to 8 pm yesterday.

There are now 41 people in hospital, including three in intensive care with two being ventilated.

This brings the number of active cases in the ACT to 3257. Yesterday there were 1320 new cases.

The number of ACT residents aged 12 and over who are fully vaccinated remains steady at 98.6 per cent while 28.1 per cent of ACT residents aged over 18 have received a booster shot (as at 14 January 2022).

NSW has recorded another 34,660 new cases and 20 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Victoria recorded 28,128 new cases and 13 deaths.
