Acton Walkways

geology walk

Hi, I was sent a brochure for some walks called Acton walkways.  As I work in Civic and some walks were on at lunchtime, I thought give them a try.  They are fabulous.  Not too much exercise involved, but you do get to know the culture and history of our unique and wonderful city.

I have attached two pictures of the geology walk.  Our city’s skeleton is its underlying geology and I learn some history as well as interesting facts about Canberra’s rocks.

All the walks that I have gone on are free – there is a small charge for some.  All were escorted by some very knowledgeable and fascinating people and all very enjoyable.  The contact is info@actonwalkways.com and I think that you should go and support this initiative.  The “walks” got me bursting with Civic pride in the knowledge that we live in the best city in the world, populated with the most wonderful people.

I have lived in many cities and for that reason I stick by what I say. I think that knocking Canberra and its people is a total wank. I suggest that you move elsewhere.

Really? You have obviously never been outside of Canberra.

While best might be a big call, I’ve been to a lot of cites in several countries, and think Canberra is pretty tops.

The most wonderful people is a total wank though.

Thanks for posting this. They also have a website at http://www.actonwalkways.com/ which looks interesting.
