Hi, I was sent a brochure for some walks called Acton walkways. As I work in Civic and some walks were on at lunchtime, I thought give them a try. They are fabulous. Not too much exercise involved, but you do get to know the culture and history of our unique and wonderful city.
I have attached two pictures of the geology walk. Our city’s skeleton is its underlying geology and I learn some history as well as interesting facts about Canberra’s rocks.
All the walks that I have gone on are free – there is a small charge for some. All were escorted by some very knowledgeable and fascinating people and all very enjoyable. The “walks” got me bursting with Civic pride in the knowledge that we live in the best city in the world, populated with the most wonderful people.
