A night of song and noise from three leading exponents of both is at the Front, Wednesday the 4th of this very month (which might well be tonight, depending on when this post is reviewed…) JW Sparrow & the Miner Birds are known for dreamy drones and good times. Known to audiences far and wide thanks to his work with acts such as Cat Cat, The Cherry Marines, Mankilled and Wa Wa Nee*, JW will be playing songs from his new solo EP, and whatever else he damn-well pleases.

Also along for the ride is O M Carroll, best known as the lead man from Voss. Owen will bring tales of exploration and consternation, thrilling you with the awesomeness of Voss’ brand new LP ‘The Inland Sea’.

Finally, Glenroi Heights, of Canberra’s seventh most respected indie band Waterford**, will devote himself to playing songs from Waterford’s new EP, Waterford’s long awaited LP (out 2010), and Glenroi Height’s solo LP (out 2014). He’ll have you tapping, clapping and napping. Except for the last one. Alongside him will be the virtuoso violin of one Sarah Davis. She’s really very good at the violin.

A gold coin donation is the price you’ll pay.
Kicks off at 7:30
*This may not be factually accurate, actually…
**Subject to an internal canberra indie band audit…

The Front has The Grimm Brothers and the Blue Murders returning on Sat night as well. Plenty of gigs on the go.
