Bicentennial trail ?

Cruising google maps in an idle moment, I came across the “Bicentennial trail marked off Stockdale drive. Apparently it’s near Shepherds Lookout, one of my regular haunts. While driving there this morning I couldn’t find it though. I did see two wooden signs, marked “CT”, but they pointed to heavily padlocked gates.

Does anyone have any information on this trail?

My thanks in advance.

Yep, runs north-south along the eastern Aust. Mostly used by horsey types, with limited use by walkers and mountain bikers. Not to be confused with the Centennial Trail which is a 100+Km loop built around the ACT to celebrate our 100 years.

Cheers mate.

Going to streetview, it appears to go down past Strathnairn Gallery, and around the back of the tw@t farm , Golf Club.

It sort of goes along the western side of Drake Brockman then turns south along William Hovell, through the Cork Oaks and ever onward to the south till Healsville in Victoria.

Coming from the other way (from Cooktown), Gundaroo, Mulligan Flats Rd, thru Gunghalin and Hall, Kuringai drive, along the border fence line, more or less to Stockdill Dr.

The horsey mob think they own it and have bike traps along the route in the ACT.

What you see on Google and OSM are peoples attempts to plot the trail, or what they think is the trail. The organizers of the trail sell maps, but I have no idea what they are like.
