The Brumbies have gone down to the Cheetahs overnight in Bloemfontein.

A converted Stephen Moore try with 5 minutes to go moved the Brumbies to within 3 points. However the Cheetahs responded immediately with a field goal to push the final score out to 27-21.

“We didn’t have the start to the game we wanted, the Cheetahs were able to get the upper hand early and it was difficult for us to gain back any momentum,” Captain Ben Mowen said.

The Brumbies picked up a bonus point for the narrow loss to ensure they stayed top of the Australian conference and third on the overall ladder.
