There are a lot of dark rumours circulating about injured Brumbies star Rocky Elsom.
So we put them to the club and here’s what they came back with:
Rocky played all but one game last year – 12. This year his hamstring injury has kept him out all season.
Rocky lives in Canberra’s inner south. He has an apartment there.
Rocky’s duties are exactly the same as any other contracted player. He is required to attend training daily, visit schools and other community organisations and host functions for the Brumbies and their charities.
As an injured squad member, Rocky has a different work load to the full time squad but is often seen in the gym two or three times a day.
In February, Rocky flew to Darwin with the rest of the trial team and visited remote communities in The NT organising training drills and questions times.
He was one of just three players to travel who did not play.
So there we go then.
