The SMH has listed their top ten picks for the Melbourne Comedy Festival and Canberra’s Dayne Rathbone has made the list!
9. Dayne Rathbone
I’m going out on a limb to predict that Dayne Rathbone’s debut show will be a worthy inclusion in this list. Rathbone won Raw Comedy in 2011 with his awkward, nervous stage persona – his awful poetry was an exercise in anti-comedy gold that still makes me laugh when I think about it. But can he sustain a full hour performing solo? We shall see, but I’m predicting he can deliver.
