I’ve recently heard good things about Quizine in Phillip; affordable and healthy food prepared quickly. Sounds too good to be true but I’m pleased to tell you that it ticks all the boxes.
I visited last week for a quick lunch on my own. When I arrived I was welcomed by beautiful decor, the whole cafe is so immaculate you feel healthy just by being in there. The glass cabinet next to the counter has what seems like a whole farm of beautiful fresh fruit and vegetables, everything just looks so luscious.
Quizine’s lunchtime menu consists of fit meals that come in 125g or 200g sizes. They all have a portion of protein and a portion of salad or veggies, with selected meals containing rice. You can also build your own fit meal too which looks a bit fun. I opted for the 125g ‘tandoori trainer’, lightly grilled tandoori chicken, sweet potato mash, broccoli and carrots. The 125g meals are $12.50 and the 200g meals are $15.50.
My meal came out quickly as I was sitting down reading emails. It looked clean, fresh, and most importantly healthy! I know sometimes healthy food can be a bit bland or boring, but this meal was great.
The tandoori chicken had a good kick to it, and the veggies were cooked just the right amount – the carrot and the broccoli was soft but still had a bit of crunch to it. I think the sweet potato mash also had some pumpkin in there, yum!
I was really impressed by everything Quizine had to offer. Their menu is really reasonably priced and all their meals are fresh and the food is sourced locally. I can’t believe I’ve only recently found out about this place. I think I’ll make a Quizine lunch a weekly occurrence from here on in!
