Snowman is cool.

Is it too early to start talking about Christmas?

BECAUSE I LOVE CHRISTMAS.

Some of you will no doubt wish to immediately start talking about how much you hate Christmas, so feel free to skip ahead and be a Grinch in the comments below.

For the rest of us though, there’s this little release from Canberra CBD to look at:

Festive cheer will return to Civic Square, Ainslie Avenue, City Walk and Garema Place from Thursday 12 December as Canberra CBD Limited stages their second annual Christmas Carnival in the City.

The Canberra City centre will transform into a Christmas Carnival with free activities scattered throughout the city including camel rides, a rock climbing wall, bungee run, kids’ gym and obstacle course.

CEO of Canberra CBD Limited, Jane Easthope, said there would be something for everyone to enjoy.

“Christmas is such an amazing time of the year and the Christmas Carnival in the City gives everyone the chance to get into the festive spirit,” Ms Easthope said.

“The Canberra City centre has a real buzz to it during the holiday period. It’s a great opportunity for families to come together and enjoy everything the city has to offer.

“Where else can you do your shopping, have a bite to eat, visit a public artwork, see a show or a movie, visit a gallery, catch up with friends for a cool drink and keep the kids entertained for free? The CBD has it all!”

“There will be free rides for everyone to enjoy as well as great entertainment from the range of community bands and choirs that are performing.”

You Are Hear Inc. will produce a program of events focused on celebrating Christmas and the holiday season during the carnival. Their activities will bring additional movement, surprise and colour to the city.

Christmas Carnival in the City will run for 12 days from Thursday 12 December – Monday 23 December 2013. Entertainment will begin from 12pm daily, concluding at 8pm each evening.

Seems to be similar to what they did for Halloween, which is great because Halloween was great. Particularly the part where You Are Here Inc dressed me up as a Yowie on stilts and gave me more candy than I could eat.

That bit was great, and this stuff will be too.
