The Markets Wanniassa

The Markets Wanniassa is a family run collective of handmade and Australian innovative products showcased under one roof, providing customers with a streamlined shopping experience, and the ability to support numerous small businesses in one hit.

This wonderful family run business has just celebrated one year in trading. Massive congratulations to Fiona, James and family on this truly wonderful achievement. The Markets Wanniassa will be open every day until Christmas.

Christmas At The Old Bus Depot Markets

When – Saturday December 23, 10 am-4 pm

Immerse yourself in everything Christmassy! It is pretty hard to walk past this iconic Canberra classic when it comes to all your Christmas needs.

Canberra City Walk Markets

When – Saturday December 23, 10 am-4 pm

On your way back from the Bus Depot markets, you could drop into the Canberra City Walk Markets. Situated along the City Walk and within Petrie Plaza, Canberra City Walk Markets transforms Canberra’s civic centre into a carnival of colour and activity!

You will find Australian arts & crafts, international handicrafts, fruit & vegetables, plants, books, records, novelties, up-cycled wares, candles, gemstones, funky clothing, unique jewellery, and more.

Santa’s Workshop – Canberra Outlet Centre

When – Thursday December 14 to Saturday December 23, 11 am-2 pm

From the 14th to the 23rd of December, children will have the opportunity to meet Santa’s friends including Frosty the Snowman, Christmas Tree’s and the elves in Santa’s workshop.

Children will be able to create their own decorations and gifts – helping Santa prepare for the big day.

Santa’s Winter Wonderland will be open from 11 am to 2 pm.

Capital Region Farmers Market final Market of 2017

When – Saturday December 23, 6.30 am – 11.30 am – Final market of 2017

Sample the region’s freshest produce at the Capital Region Farmers Market at Exhibition Park in Canberra. The Market is a community project run by the Rotary Club of Hall, the only rural Rotary Club in the ACT.

The Markets will play host to a special Twilight Market on Thursday December 22, kicking off at 3 pm. Come and stock up on cherries and stonefruit, prawns and seafood, hampers and all your favourite fresh produce just in time for Christmas. Avoid the crowds and long lines of the supermarkets with a visit to the Twilight Market.

Jamison Trash n Treasure

When – Sunday December 24

The market has been operating continually since 1974 at the Jamison shopping centre precinct and has raised in excess of $5 million. This has enabled the Rotary Club to generously support many local, national and international community service projects.

Whilst this is not a specific Christmas market – my goodness there is not much you can’t find at these markets! Coffee, fruit, Knick knacks old and new, this might just be the perfect Christmas shopping location for you.
