Roller derby: a cutthroat, full-contact, high-intensity sport where the only objective is to win as many points against the opposition, doing whatever it takes!

A jammer will volunteer as tribute, putting their body on the line against rough enemy skaters, and hoping to make it off the track unscathed… After coming third at nationals Canberra Roller Derby League is set to present a night JAM PACKED with action in its grand final spectacular BLOCKINGJAY, where all four home teams will duke it out with a mix of strength, speed, footwork, and flair!

The stakes are high and the hits will be big as, in the first game, the Black ‘n’ Blue Belles try and earn their first win for the season against the Brindabelters, who are desperate to avoid the Wooden Spoon.

The fight for first place promises to be even more SMACKtacular, with the renowned blockers of the Surly Griffins packs laying waste to the quick and wily Red Bellied Black Hearts jammers. Forget Hunger Games, this will be the Hunger Jams, and you won’t want to miss the fight.
