Cyclist dies from collision injuries

A cyclist involved in a collision with a vehicle in Conder on 7 April has died in the Canberra Hospital.

Police said that on Saturday, 7 April 2018 about 9:05 am the cyclist was travelling south in the bicycle lane along Tharwa Drive and collided with a vehicle at the Mentone View roundabout in Conder.

Yesterday (Tuesday, 24 April 2018) the cyclist was unable to recover from injuries suffered in the incident and passed away in the Canberra Hospital.

ACT Policing’s Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team is preparing a report for the Coroner.

This is the fourth road fatality in the ACT for 2018 and involves a vulnerable road user.
