A man who was cycling on the Monaro Highway early this morning has died as a result of a collision with a car.
About 6.25am, police responded to a report of an accident on the Monaro Highway towards Williamsdale.
ACT Ambulance Service paramedics attended and the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
ACT Policing’s Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team (CIRT) are examining the circumstances surrounding the collision. A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
The man is the third person to have died on ACT roads this year.
