Dale Lee Vella committed to trial for alleged murder of Mark Vella in Murrumbateman

A woman accused of murdering a man in Murrumbateman last year has been committed for trial.

Dale Lee Vella, now 53, was arrested after the fatal shooting of 52-year-old Mark Anthony Vella.

NSW Police said emergency services were called to a home on Murrumbateman Road at about 10:00 pm on 9 August 2021 after receiving reports a man had been shot.

Mr Vella was found at the home with a fatal gunshot wound. Ms Vella was arrested at the scene and taken to Yass Police Station.

She appeared in the Goulburn Local Court on Wednesday (15 June) charged with murder and using an unauthorised firearm.

Magistrate Geraldine Beattie committed her to the Supreme Court for trial and listed her for an arraignment in the higher court on 5 August.

Ms Vella has been refused bail.
