ACT Policing has seized drugs, firearms, ammunition and suspected stolen property during the search of a residence in Kaleen last night (Tuesday 15 September).
ACT Policing’s Criminal Investigations Crime Targeting team located and seized approximately 200 grams of a substance suspected to be methylamphetamine (ice), a similar quantity of compressed cannabis head and a sum of cash.
These items were found hidden throughout the property, concealed within objects including modified oxygen cylinders.
Police located and seized a shortened .22 calibre rifle and a sawn off shotgun, along with more than 700 rounds of ammunition. The ammunition had been concealed in a large modified acetylene gas cylinder.
Police also seized several items of suspected stolen property including laptops, jewelry and watches. Two vehicles were seized from the residence as proceeds of crime.
Police arrested a 36-year-old Kaleen man at the residence and investigations are ongoing.
