E.L.K- Seeking expressions of interest

By E.L.K - 18 December 2008 55

Hi all,  I’m putting together an independent warehouse artspace in Fyshwick. If any arty types out there who are looking for accommodation/studio space might be interested, please contact me at elkstencils@hotmail.com

Thanks,

Luke

You haven’t been here long enough to be local enough to understand what people are posting about.

People from England don’t understand English?

When did this happen? Was it on the news?

M16 is also funded by Government grants, and ELK’s said he’s looking to set it up independently.

Pommy – this is a local board for local people. You haven’t been here long enough to be local enough to understand what people are posting about.

We treat incommers like the Cornish do if that helps you any in understanding why your posts get stomped on by the local posting police.

On topic –

Best of luck E.L.K.

I have found a wall I would really love you to do some work on. Unfortunately I don’t own the wall, I just stare at it when I am in the gym every morning. It has tag-lines all over it, but your artwork would be so much better to look at that the tags.

I didn’t think Dexi’s post was rough… Jim Jones’s was far rougher.

How will this be different from places like M16 etc?

Different artists in it I imagine…

if nothing pans out, luke, there is a space (formerly a gallery in colbee court, phillip)that is being offered as a sublease.

next door to the chocolate olive. not a high ceiling place, but a decent enough space.

Good on you Luke, hope it works out for you.

Where in Fyshwick is your artspace located?

Ok. You did ask.

Pommy they are looking for artists, just not your kind.

Dexi, refreshing RA every 5 seconds to see if P.B has posted a message so that you can slander him does not consitute a life. Take your $1000 Rudd Chrissy bonus, fill up the Camira and go and drive off a cliff somewhere please. You are a poo-stain on this site with nothing positive to contribute.

JB – sorry for the personal attack, but I’m sick of having to read Dexi’s petty and pathetic posts day in, day out.

In the name of all that is holy, what on earth is an “independent warehouse artspace”?

And why are you “putting (it) together”, did it fall apart?

WTF is wrong with you?

Please forgive my stupidity,

Independent- not relying on government funding (the folly of many arts organisations)

“putting together”- Creating, constructing, Bringing into existence.

If anyone else needs help translating this message, feel free to leave a sarcastic comment.

If you have to ask, it’s not aimed at you.
