The ABC has a story on the drum tight labor market in this town in the lead up to Christmas.

The Chamber of Commerce is encouraging business to try and hang onto staff as there aren’t too many replacements out there, so now’s a good time to ask for a raise or a regular day off.

When they start hiring old people and other “unattractive” staff, I’ll believe it. And yes, the cycle will go round, like it always does, and THEN we can have another look at the labour laws.
