People who operate tourism businesses are invited to enter their business in the Canberra and Capital Region Tourism Awards.
The Awards recognise outstanding tourism businesses and organisations, and provide an opportunity for entrants to ensure their business continues to develop and enhances the many unique experiences our region has to offer.
While recognising and rewarding tourism excellence, the awards also showcase our best tourism operators and are a great way to raise the profile of Canberra nationally. Winners of the national categories at the local awards are automatically entered as finalists in the Australian Tourism Awards.
In last year’s national awards, Canberra finalists picked up one silver and two bronze awards. Floriade won silver in the Major Festivals and Events category, while Questacon – The National Science and Technology Centre won bronze in the Tourist Attractions category, and CIT Tourism and Hotel Management won bronze in the Tourism Education and Training category of the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards.
