Now here’s something cool to brighten your Friday with.

girlgeorgevision provides these details on YouTube:

Stop motion animation done on the wall inbetween the stores Itrip Iskip and Unit Concepts in Braddon ACT.

    Check out itripiskip.com.au

(If you’re wondering what the hell Itrip Iskip is, Ninaribena explains all)

UPDATE: I was sitting at Debacle the other day and realised that most people are unaware of the mural’s layers so I thought I’d give it a bump.

Hello.

Thanks for showing this to everyone.

Interesting things: by watching the shadows rise on the left-hand-side you can track how many days it took George to paint it.

Anyhow, I did the sound for this animation, so make sure you have your speakers up! And, all credit to the amazing BLU, but this one holds it’s own quite nicely-thankyouverymuch.

Utterly entrancing, congratulations to those involved.

Nice. Very cool!

Is Unit Concepts still home to Canberra’s most pretentious and rude shop owner? I haven’t been there for year for that very reason.

That guy is a wanker. I’ve been there a few times and have always felt unwelcome. He is too smug to acknowledge his customers and makes you feel like your wasting his time. You can buy his stuff elsewhere online and for cheaper too.

True – but the mural’s cool – you can enjoy it and NOT buy overpriced ($300 for a bread board) objects from the wanker!

My esteem for Braddon just got a whole lot bigger.

To quote my kids, ‘How cool is that?!’

Answer: ‘Hell cool!’

That’s very clever and well-executed.

And I think worked on another level – I might even check the store out when I need some edgy new shoes.

That’s really cool man! Excellent!

New, creative, skilled – and a great marketing tool too.
