Kids and parents descended on South.Point Tuggeranong for the launch of South.Life Dining Precinct on Saturday, 12 October.

Anketell Street has long been home to a number of well-established, much-loved eateries, but over the past few months the Centre has welcomed some fresh new faces to the neighbourhood.

The dining precinct is home to many different cafes and restaurants.

While the event celebrated the revamped street outside, it was moved indoors to avoid the rain that never came (typical Canberra weather, right?)

Shoppers were still able to enjoy delicious food from South.Life and within the Centre, with a grazing table, candy bar, fairy floss, slushies, popcorn from Limelight Cinemas and frozen custard from soon-to-open Mookie Burger South.

The grazing table had treats for everyone.

Excited kids were treated to free Thomas the Tank Engine train rides, as well as face painting and larger-than-life inflatable treats including a donut, popcorn, coffee cup, strawberry and burger. The talented Elevate Music youth program provided the soundtrack to the day, performing a medley of hits that added to the buzzing atmosphere.

Little Istanbul is a long-established favourite.

To continue the celebrations, three lucky South.Point shoppers will go in the draw to win a $500 gift card. Shoppers will need to make a small purchase or take a photo at each venue along the updated precinct to get South.Life Passports stamped.

Once you’ve collected all the stamps you can enter the draw to win. The competition runs until Saturday 7, December, so there is plenty of time to fill those passports!

For your chance to share the spoils, grab your South.Life Passport at the information desk at South.Point.
