Their mentors are integral to providing a safe and dynamic environment for Girls Rock! campers and encouraging them to express their creativity while learning not to apologise for who they are. You can find more about the mentoring roles here.
The Girls Rock! Camp is a music and mentorship program for girls, and trans and gender diverse (TGD) young people aged 10-17. Over the course of camp, the participants (campers) will learn an instrument, form a band, and take part in a range of creative and capacity building workshops.
This year’s camp will take place 30 September – 4 October Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, at Ainslie Arts Centre in Braddon. Our end of camp showcase takes place on Saturday 5 October. All mentors will be expected to attend the mentor Orientation day on Sunday 29 October.
