One person has been taken to hospital following a single motor vehicle accident at the Glenloch Interchange at 8:20 this morning.

Major delays are being experienced on all roads leading to the Glenloch Interchange and there are reports that traffic is backed up to the Barton Highway as emergency services attempt to clear the area. Traffic is also at a standstill on the Tuggeranong Parkway.

William Hovell Drive is being seriously affected, along with Parkes Way eastbound, Gungahlin Drive Extension southbound and Tuggeranong Parkway southbound.

ACT Ambulance, ACT Fire and Rescue and ACT Policing are currently on scene and are urging motorists to avoid the area if possible.
