Green Machine turns blue

Personally I’m not a mad keen fan of playing silly buggers with jerseys.

But the Raiders have announced they’re going to wear blue kit this Saturday when they take on Tricky Ricky’s Sharks:

From this Wednesday afternoon the jerseys worn in the match will be made available for auction online for seven days at allbids.com.au with each player in the match individually signing his jersey for the auction, with some of the proceeds going directly to Brain Injury Australia.

There will also be a bucket collection on the day at the game, with the money going to Brain Injury Australia.

Canberra Raiders Captain Terry Campese said the Raiders were happy to give the green away for one week to help support a great cause and urged everyone to go online and bid on one of the jerseys.

So that’s one weekend mystery explained in advance.

The Raiders must be hoping that by changing to the same colours of their opposition, that the Sharks will accidently pass them the ball.

Knowing the Sharks recent form, that’s more than likely.

TBH, I’m a mad Sharkies fan, and no matter how crap they are going, they seem to knock the Raiders on the head at Bruce quite frequently. So I’m going.

And you watch, they will probably lose! FML.

Good thing they’re playing decently now, otherwise some nasty people might have thought the Raiders were clients of the Foundation, such was the way they had been playing before.

Good cause, but wearing blue when playing the Sharks may not have been the best idea?

A worthy cause … but Rugby Union is the game the play in heaven 😉

Are they still Tricky Ricky’s Sharks now that he has walked?

Just for this week.
