The landscaped gardens at number four, complete with a picture-perfect vine-wrapped pergola, are not a well-kept secret on Sinnett Place in McKellar.
Luton Kippax sales consultant Ben Oostermeyer remembers them being the very first thing to catch his eye when he visited the three-bedroom house.
“The entrance to the home is peaceful and inviting,” he says. “You can bask on the private sun deck, which connects the home to the garden beautifully.
“The deck allows you to use that space privately and then just enjoy so much more of the block, which is about 820 square metres in total.”

“The house really does have that front-to-back connection to nature,” he says. “You can enjoy both the front and back parts of the block, but also enjoy it from inside.”
Ben says “extremely well kept” is the best way to sum up the inside of the home, which features two separate living spaces with views of both the front and back gardens.
At the front of the home, a spacious living and dining area features full-height windows with expansive views of the front yard, including its fairytale vine-wrapped pergola.
Meanwhile, at the rear of the home, the family room sits adjacent to the terraced back garden and kitchen and captures lots of natural light courtesy of its sunny, northerly aspect.
The home’s three bedrooms also all feature garden views and are conveniently clustered around the main bathroom. Plus, two of the three bedrooms include built-in robes.
Ben says young families inspecting the home have been impressed by the size of the block and its location in the Central Belconnen district suburb of McKellar, just a short walk from a number of natural attractions, including Croke Place Wetlands, William Palmer Park and Dulwa Beach.
“The whole suburb has elevation, so almost anywhere you go, you’ve got a view,” he said.
The residential block is also RZ2 zoned, meaning there is the potential to redevelop the site or for a family to settle into the move-in-ready home now and extend it down the track.
The home at 4 Sinnett Place in McKellar will go to auction on Saturday 5 August at 12 pm. It is open for inspection on Wednesday 19 July from 5 pm to 5:30 pm.
