Heavy metal goes walkabout in Forde

By johnboy - 15 July 2013 4

ACT Policing is seeking information on the theft of heavy vehicles from Forde over the weekend.

About 7pm on Friday (12 July) night, a white Isuzu tipper truck was secured on Blizzard Street. Attached to the truck was a grey tandem-trailer, on top of which was an orange Caterpillar excavator. Parked next to the truck was a Caterpillar Bobcat.

Around 10.30am Sunday (14 July) morning the owner returned to find all four vehicles missing. A number of tools stored within the vehicles were also stolen.

The value of the stolen vehicles is estimated to be around $100,000.

Anyone who has information on this incident is urged to contact CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.

Two scenarios:

1. Insurance job
2. Someone fancied stealing an instant earthmoving business.
